This is something I do bi-weekly or weekly depending on how many people want to work out. I have clients come to a gym to do one hour workouts in groups of 3 - 5 clients. This is not sport specific training. This is simply one hour of intensive athletic training. We do just about everything there including, but not limited to battle ropes, heavy balls, slam balls, tension bands, weight sled, Heavy tire flips, kettle bells, weight cage, mini hurdles, Box jumps, isometric exercises designed to push participants to their physical limits. It teaches clients how to reach their physical limits and to push their boundaries.
I mix the groups up so that clients are working with other clients they may not know initially and through their work/teamwork they start to form a bond. Sometimes the groups stay the same and sometimes I have a group of participants that specifically want to work together so I try to make that happen. The most important thing is I try to get similar athletes together. I want everyone in a group to be able to work roughly the same as their teammates so that no one feels bad for not being able to pull their weight while more advanced clients do not feel they are getting slowed down by others.
Anyone that signs up for these workouts will need to commit to at least four (4) sessions over the course of the season they are participating in. I do not want to reserve a spot for someone that is not committed to this level of work as it may cut someone else out of the opportunity of participating.
There is a flat $20 / per participant fee per session. Clients can pay on an 'as you go' each time they workout or they can pay for multiple sessions in advance. I will be having no less than ten (10) sessions this fall/winter and I could have more depending on participation. Sessions are first-come-first-serve when I announce them so if you want to lock in a spot it is best to respond ASAP after I send out the weekly/Bi-weekly notice that a session is coming. I will not allow more than eight (8) individuals or less than three (3) in any workout group because I want the guys getting that consistent grind without over working or too much standing around. Four is the 'perfect' number for a workout group but three to eight individuals also works well.
WARNING: These workouts are NOT for the "casual" workout individuals. What you put into these sessions equates to what you will get out of them. There is no 'going through the motions' sessions and if a client seems to be half stepping their way through the workout they will be privately talked to about their effort. If the same person re-offends they simply will not be asked or allowed back. I will not have some people breaking themselves to get better working with others that do not have the same mindset. This is getting the right individuals working together for the right reason.
